It has come to our attention that the ECHO Food Shelf in Mankato could use our help so this weekend we are launching a Lenten Food Drive! As Father Stiles shares in the bulletin this coming weekend...
.
3 PILLARS OF LENT: PRAYER, FASTING, ALMSGIVING
The Churches of Nativity & Marysburg will be collecting nonperishable items throughout the season of Lent for Echo food shelf of Mankato (our local food shelf in Cleveland is already well stocked). Please place non-perishable items in bin found in the entryways of either church. All items are welcome! Some most requested items are cereal, pasta & pasta sauce, macaroni & cheese, boxed main dishes, condiments, juice, personal care items, diapers & wipes (larger sizes and pull ups). The food shelf cannot accept home canned foods. THANK YOU FOR THIS COLLECTIVE WORK OF MERCY [ALMSGIVING]!
.
Monetary donations are also more than welcome! Please send checks made payable to "ECHO Food Shelf" to 1014 S Front St., Mankato, MN 56001
OR - if you wish to drop a check in to the plate / basket during Mass, please be sure the check is to "ECHO Food Shelf" and we will handle the donation on your behalf.
