Host NET Missionaries!
Our Mission : Every August, 150 young Catholics aged 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school,
family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with NET ministries. Divided into 12 teams,
they travel across the U.S. for nine months to share the Gospel with young people and their
families. Since 1981, NET teams have led over 32,000 retreats and ministered to more than 2
million young Catholics.
Who can Host? You! If you enjoy meeting new people and hearing incredible stories and witnesses
of faith, then you’d surely enjoy NET Missionaries.
The Details: We need housing for the 13 missionaries (6 men, 7 women) of NET’s Home Team.
They spend the whole school year (October through May) leading retreats here in Minnesota.
They stay in homes for two-weeks at a time. Host homes will be asked to provide most breakfasts,
some bag lunches, & a few evening meals for the missionaries (a meal schedule will be provided) .
They will have sleeping bags, air mattresses, towels, and toiletries, so couches, fold-out beds, &
floors work just fine.
Why? It’s a joy and a gift getting to meet these young adults, hearing their stories of how they
came to NET, and how God has worked in their hearts. They can be a huge witness to your family
and good role models to your children who are learning how to live out the faith. It’s also an
incredible opportunity to serve. As Jesus says in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the
least brothers of mine, you did for me.” God will reward your generosity!
